Giant Black Habanero

This is an exceptionally large almost black habanero pepper with stunning good looks and lots of flavor. The pods are deep brown and are about two to four inches long. This pepper ripens from a dark green to a dark chocolate color. When left on the plant for a long time the pods get a slight red hue to them. The pods are an elongated large lantern or cone shaped. This 2-4-foot-tall plant produces a lot of heavy pods and will need support. The foliage on this plant is green. A very tasty thick-walled pepper with hints of smokiness, sweetness, and plum. This pepper has a hot spiciness level of about 400,000 - 500,000 Scoville units.
