Pumpkin Spice Orange Jalapeno

Even those relatively new to hot peppers know of the world famous Jalapeno, but few people know about the beautiful Pumpkin Spice Orange Jalapeno pepper. The Pumpkin Spice Orange Jalapeno is the same size as the traditional Early Jalapeno, but it ripens to a beautiful orange color. Many people think of the Jalapeno as a very spicy hot pepper, but the Jalapeno pepper has only a mild to moderate heat level as it averages about 2,500 to 8,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Pumpkin Spice Orange Jalapenos have the perfect amount of heat for those that like a little kick, but don’t want overbearing heat. This stunning ornamental delivers on both flavor and heat level as the Pumpkin Spice Orange Jalapeno can be used as a colorful substitute for the traditional Jalapeno. Originally developed in New Mexico, Pumpkin Spice Orange Jalapeno plants can tolerate hot, dry climates. They have a close relative, the Lemon Spice Yellow Jalapeno, that was also developed in New Mexico.
